Yes, 4 times - 3 on a cruise, and once I flew there for a week with 2 girlfriends, we each had our own rooms at the Radisson on Cable Beach, $250 each, all inclusive, she was (now in jail for conspiring to kill her husband but that's another story) a travel agent and got great deals.

Be prepared for people to walk up to you and offer to sell you drugs. Nassau is terrible for that. BUT, it's absolutely gorgeous! The water is crystal clear, the beaches are white sand, there is a HUGE straw market in Nassau (where the ships dock) that you have to visit, it's really cool! They work with you on the prices (every booth sells the same thing, so they are battling for your business).

Anyways, you will love it. I just went in June, it was one of our stops on our cruise.

I've been twice this year and going back in Feb. The taxi rides are fun. If you get a chance walk or take a taxi over the bridge to Atlantis and walk around for awhile. That place is huge. Plus they have a Starbucks onsite :D

I have been there a couple times on cruises. I don't really like the harrassment from the locals, they all want to sell something. There are some beautiful places there , but it's not my favorite. If I were to go on another cruise I would head to the virgin islands.

I've never been to Atlantis, but if I ever go back to the Bahamas, I am definitely going to check it out!

Try St. Kitts on for a beautiful exotic not so commercialized retreat. Stay at Ottleys plantation for complete seclusion or right on the beach the Marriot has everything(including casino). Throw your snorkle on and go right off their beach and see thousands of fish. Get a taxi driver to take you on a 1/2 day island tour. Atlantic on one side Carribean on the other. 87 degrees year round with a nice breeze.

If we ever go back we are gonna go see Atlantis, instead of snorkeling with the sting rays.

I agree....That place is a 3rd world country....Hell on earth... Oh sure the beach is cool but the locals are crazy in your face....

I was there in 1995 (first honeymoon). We stayed at the Radisson, right next door to the Atlantis. That place is AMAZING! The straw market was definaely cool, the ZOO (at the time) was a kickass bar/dance club. Go on a Booze Cruise. A blast! I would also highly reccommend paragliding........the water is so clear you can see too the bottom. Its a beautiful place to visit, gamble and drink a lot in!

Ithe ZOO (at the time) was a kickass bar/dance club.

I've been there! It is a kickass bar (or was anyway, last time I was there was 1994). We walked there from the Radisson (I think it's a Marriot now) on Cable Beach.

The locals are PITAs. "Hello Pretty Girl" - or "Come over here Pretty Girl". Go to the straw market, you'll see what I mean.

I've done a little island hopping (Eastern Caribbean), and by far, the most beautiful island of all is St. Martin (IMO). It's a small island, but I have never seen water that color before, unbelievable (deep aqua/blue/green). Our cruise ship docked there and we went little Divi Beach Bay Resort for the day. I could stay there for 5 days without leaving the resort, the view is hypnotizing.

enjoy the airport as well. when you go to come back home depending on the day you may want to get there 4 hours early. The first time I stood in line for 2 1/2 hours before I could even get my ticket. Then another hour or so before getting through both securities. Its an experience in itself.

I have been there two times. First one was a 8 hour stop on a cruise, and the other was an all day/overnight stop on a cruise. Everyone is right about the locals trying to sell you some drugs. I found that particularly hillarious. First time we went to and snuck into the Atlantis Resort pool area, and checked out the hotel. The next time I thought it would be nice for us to discover what the Bahammas are really like. We found a particularly friendly cab driver, and I gave him a good amount of money for him to drive us around and show us what the real part of the bahammas was like. He drove us all over the damn place, got to see some really nice parts, and some VERY slum like areas. It was a very good expereince, although probalby kinda risky as well. But I'm glad I did that. I didn't want to pay for a tour from a regular tour company, because they only show you the touristy stuff. I wanted to see the real Bahammas the way the locals expereince it on a day to day basis. I am alwasy fascinated to learn about other peoples cultures.

We also did some snorlking and whatnot while we were there. Its a very nice place, I enjoyed it thoroughly both times.

Gregg (Changet) and his wife have a time share down there, they just went and loved it!

After the Natalie Holloway incident, I'm not sure I ever want to go there. But that could happen anywhere I suppose.

I wouldn't mind going back to Jamaica, that's a pretty cool island. I want to visit the western side next time (Negril).

Corral towers are very nice. next choice would be the beach tower. don't stay in the Villas unless you don't like to sleep.
