For Racing drive shaft

Just found out I cant use my new (past spring) drive shaft on the T-56. I need one 1 inch shorter and with a 31 spline yoke so....This is a Ford Racing piece, I paid $240. I think $175 is fair..... since I have to buy a $350 one now.:mad:

Joe, no need to sell this. I have the exact same driveshaft and I'm just having mine shortened and having a 31 spline yolk installed. Much cheaper than selling yours, and buying a new one.

Also, is it a stock 03/04 cobra T-56? If it is, you have a 28 spline output.

I already went to the drive line shop here on 28, He quoted me just about as much as buying a new one. How much are you getting it done for? Plus I would rather have a new one than a modified one.

And "ALL" 03/04 cobra output shafts are 31 spline. The input shaft into the clutch is 28 spline (unless upgraded).

There is a place over here that quoted me $150 to have the driveshaft shortened and have the new yolk installed. I'll have to call my buddy and get that number again.

03/04 Cobra transmissions came with a 10 spline input shaft and a 28 spline output shaft from Ford. I don't hear about many guys upgrading their output shafts, but most guys upgrade their input shafts to a 26 spline from liberty or whoever else. Thats why when ordering a clutch you have a choice between 10 spline and 26 spline.

Why would I need a new yoke then? because my T-5's output shafts are 28 spline. Both '03 cobra drive shafts I've seen are 31 spline yoked. Just what I've seen.:dunno:

Its the only thing I have been able to find so far. If I can't find anything, I might give tremec a call. I know the 03/04 Cobra trans is the tuet1694.

Only certain Tremec trans have a 31 spline, Like the tko has 31 spline.
