I cant fucking sleep. This is stupid.
My back is killing me, my mind is racing, and I have a 20 year old man in the next room crying on his cell phone to his girlfriend keeping me awake.
Wish I made better money so I could afford a house or apartment. This family living situation is getting old. There is always something going on to keep me awake late. Thats why I liked working 3rd shift. I could sleep in an empty house all day. :( Only way I can sleep now is medicated or alcohol.
Somethings gotta give before I OD on sleeping pills.

Welcome to my world! I went six months without a full nights sleep after Vinny passed away. I finally went to the doctor back in August and got on Ambien. They make you fall asleep and keep you asleep. I don't take them every night anymore (usually 2-3 nights a week), I've gotten better, I can usually lay down around 10 - 10:30 and go right to sleep. But if I've had a stressful day, or somebody has pissed me off, I just take an ambien around 9pm so I KNOW I will get a good night's sleep. ;)
Ask your doctor about them Matt, they kick ass!

I've said it once, I'll say it again. Melatonin is the best OTC sleed aid ever! It's cheap and works extremely well. :bigthumb

I'm glad I finally got my own place. Where I lived before, was like living on the set of the Jerry Springer Show. I went through 8 1/2 years of it. Now, instead of being woken up by arguing and stupid shit, I find myself staring at the ceiling, tossing and turning for no reason. For no real reason except I don't know how to relax. I can't sit at home for one day without worrying about all the work I have to get done. If I take a day off (on my day off) I feel like I'm playing hookie. Trouble is I still have three more hot rods to build before I can finish the Ranger. So, here I am, on the 8 cans of Budweiser and 6-8 marlboro reds sleep aid regiment. I went to a doctor for a short amount of time and was taking trazodone to knock me out. But that stuff would paralyze me for about 8 hours and wouldn't completely wear off until lunchtime the next day. Plus, I have no health insurance , so it was all out of pocket and that deal didn't last long. Either way I go, it costs me and its habit forming...I don't like that. I don't really even like beer that much, but I go through 2-3 12 packs a week just so I can sleep without tossing and turning or having weird ass dreams that wake me up. Bleh, it's a bad deal. Needless to say Mr. Johnson, I feel your pain. All I can tell you is hang in there and try to tuff it out. If anything, just try to set a goal for yourself and start organizing your finances so you can get outta there. It's hard to lose track and get caught up in the moments though. Can't let it get you down though. I finally just said f*ck it and applied for an apartment, got approved and moved the hell on outta dodge. I wasn't sure I could make it, but so far so good. I can pick up a side job here and there on a slow week to make sure the rent's on time. I kinda just make it happen, I guess.
Anyway, hang in there you be 'aight. Hurry up and paint that racecar. Your so close to it I can smell the tangelos all the way up here.
