im wanting to put an e 303 cam in my car along with some 3.73 gears. Ive heard putting a cam in without changing heads can actually make your hp decrease but ive got the gt 40 heads on my 94 cobra are these fine or should i still upgrade?

iran a tfs 1 cam with stock top end and ran really good. with gt40 heads and an e cam you should pock up good times.

nice combo actually.not to big of cam for the heads and not to much head for the cam. 12's combo already proven then spray it's bag off:eek:

There is a point where too much cam with stock heads will make the bottom end soft (since a more radical cam will likely favor top end) and then be soft on the top end because your heads/intake are running out of breath and can't flow enough to justify what the cam wants. What you get is a car that comes alive like a maniac at 4k but falls on its face a thousand RPM later. An E303 is actually a good cam for stock heads though and will work great with GT40s.
