I took my 6A box off my car because i thought it had fried, but a trip to Cincy Speed today told me that my box is indeed good.... soo... i want to relocate it to prevent this from happening again.... it will be on my '94 GT which still has EVERYTHING under the hood...any suggestions? I dont want to make it permanent in case i decide to take the box off for my '88 somewhere down the road... and i dont want to ruin any plastic parts or drill any un-necissary holes... thanks!

I always liked the idea of running it inside the drivers fender, as long as you have a fender liner in there. I HATE when they're in the interior, and the engine bay is too hot for one. I would just use those little rubber mounts, and stick it in the driverside fender well. I know people run them in the engine bay successfully, but just doesn't seem like a reliable idea to me.

Yea, I just cut a 16ga flat piece of metal then drilled the holes for the box then I used self tappers into the bumper-fog light bracket and bolted the box on.

There is also a lot of room on the inside of the fender were I mounted my methanol pump

I found them in the garage don't know where they came from. I'm sure you could find something that would work at a hardwhare store.

Craig has the isolation mounts at the store. They are made by MSD and come in two sizes.;)

I mounted my digital 6 in my trunk, upside-down under the rear deck. Plenty of air, keeps it dry and out of sight, and close to the battery (mine at least.) You just have to run 4-5 wires up to the front of the car.

Stick it under the passenger side seat.. Why are you even asking.. I told you a year ago to move it.Remember.. Last i saw it you still had in the front near the grill bad spot for a everyday driver.. Water is not good for electronic's.. See ya Wed.. Doug
