I was told this is a real post over on mustangfourms.com
No more making fun of any other car owners! LOL
ORIGINAL: MarkNieb
My car was idling like crap the other day so I figured since I just got it, it may have been awhile since anyone changed the oil out. I decided to go ahead and change the oil. I used Mobile 1 synthentic oil like I was reccomended on here. Anyways, I drain out the oil and noticed it was extremely dark and even after 10 minutes of draining, it was still coming out. I decided to go ahead and flush it to make sure all the bad stuff got out. I hooked up the hose, ran water through the engine, started it up and was waiting for the water to come out clean (The engine never went above idle so I was told this would be ok). Anyways, About 3 minutes into this, then engine starts shaking and shuts off. I figured it was all cleaned out so I plugged it up, added the oil and figured I was ready to go. WRONG! The car won't freaking start now. This car has been nothing but trouble for me, I think I am done with it.

That is an urban legend , sometimes it is port and polish by sucking sand through the intake and out the exhaust to port and polish both sides
I have seen this on Automotiveforums amongst others and it is always a different car !!!

I saw a video of some kid filling his beat up honda with water. The motor locked up and he then added some more water and the car started back up. The problem here is that the kid with the honda was trying to destory it but this kid was trying to fix his car. This worries me.

So I wonder what went wrong with the engine.
He used the good oil.
I usually spray the garden hose directly into the intake and rev it to clean it out real good. :bigthumb

I started a contour once with no oil in it. It ran for about 5 minutes and then just locked up.
reminds me of the time that the one manager at my work screamed at me for 10 mins saying i was a total idiot because i was spraying off the diesel bobcat motor because i could get water in the distributor cap....yup....felt salty when i asked him to point it out....
