That is the link I have been reading trying to understand how to degree a cam, when that time comes.
I understand everything up until step 11. After you have done all the degree'ing steps, and for example, you find that the cam is advanced 2 degrees, how do you adjust the cam back to where it needs to be, according to the cam card?
The two methods that link says to do is:
1) Degree bushings can be used on the cam sprocket to offset the cam locating pin.
2) 3 or 9 keyway timing chain sets have additional keyways cut into them to index the crank sprocket.
How do either of these methods work? The second option sounds to me like the "right" option.
