And i like the sound! my only question is... are the turndowns REALLY necissary?

is there really THAT much heat being thrown on everything?

If not, im about to break the other turndown off, cuz it sounds nasty without em!

thanks...

I've never run turndowns....i'm not running them now! Just straight out the back of the mufflers. I would assume it's probably not the best for the rear end but i've been doing it for 4 years and i've never had any problems.

If you don't, you will heat up everything back there(fuel tank, diff.,brake lines). Not a good idea.

Alternatively i've also played around with clamp on turndowns and turned them outwards towards the sides of the car and it sounds pretty cool that way too. Like i said i've never had a problem running without them and i've driven my car pretty good distances in the heat of summer..

i had one fall off as well.
it's not going to cause that much of a temperature problem unless you are idling for long long periods of time

you might get a headache from all the exhaust...
