View Full Version : any tips?
On removing a damn drive shaft? haha, never done it before.... I've used damn near a full can of PB... tried a blow torch... i cannot get the damn bolts to break. Hell, I had my back up against the garage wall pushing on the wrench w/ my foot and bent the wrench about in half. :screwy:
don't want to have to get it towed somewhere to get it off....

I usually try to heat the flange around the bolt really well...then use a wrench with a cheater wrench/pipe on it. Soak the bolts with PB/WD-40 again also...especially if can let it sit for awhile to soak in..just watch for flames with torch.

I use a hammer to beat on the wrench to break em loose if I dont have an impact around. Watch the heat cause you can damage the pinion seal

impact usually works if you have one.

Like the guys said above use a cheater pipe or hammer or a long breaker bar. What would be best is a breaker bar and the handle off your jack. The higher you can get the car in the air the better.
