just for the heck of it, last night i decided that I would touch the '88 for the first time in like 2 weeks... So I decide that I will experiment with the Chassis Saver for the first time... Boy was I horribly unprepared... that stuff dripped all over the floor.... all over me... and was a general mess.... I was able to wipe (or should i say smear) most of it up... but when i went inside to try to wash my hands.... haha, yeah that was a trip.... I added soap and scrubbed and that stuff just laughed at me...
So my hands are black.... and im sure they will be for a few days.... and i woke up this morning and looked in the mirror.... and my nose has black on it too somehow:mad:

Thanks for the heads up. Now I know to wear an old tshirt to throw away, gloves and a face shield. Jesse, how much did you use and how much did it cover?

Also when you open a can just be ready to use the whole can. Once you put the lid on it will be permantly sealed. You could put some saran wrap under the lid but it is still a pain. You pretty much have to get everything prepped that you want to paint then go at it till your done.

Sounds like somebody didn't read the directions and warnings on the label. I remember something to the effect of " if you get it on your skin, plan on it taking 2 weeks to come off " and "use nitrile gloves, NO LATEX"
It's really good paint, but you really gotta prepare for it. I've been able to re-open the can after many times, but I take a small pick or screwdriver and punch hole in the rim of the can so all the spillage drains back into the can. Plus, don't hammer it all the way tight. Never had to do the saran wrap thing. And if you spray it through a gun, make sure you do it where you don't mind the over spray sticking sticking everywhere, i.e. the floor and your equipment.
Oh, and you can get it off your skin. Use aircraft stripper and red scotchbrite. (it works but please don't do that)

yea, it will stick with you like Issac said. :)
I thuroghly cleaned the lid of my can off and saran wrapped it and still had a hard time getting it off the second time. Its some serious stuff. ;)

At least you did better than the guy who was doing a roll on bedliner and went to take a leak. That thread is out there on the net somewhere..

Well i didnt make a mess on the can of it... so re opening it should be a breeze, i just got a wild hair and decided to try it, i still have to weld a patch in the strut tower, so i didnt paint there, i just wanted to see what it could do
