I am working on a project and would like to get your opinions -
What Type of Calendar would you prefer?
1) Poster type wall poster - the year at a glance with some of your favorite photos in a collage with the dates
2) Monthly Flip type - a different photo for each month
3) Something else (please describe)
If enough folks respond to make it worthwhile, I'll see what can be done to get your desk, work cubicle, garage wall, bathroom door, etc. ready for 2008.
Vote now, post your opinions! Poll will be open until November 12th!

I like the monthly flip! Something different to look at each month. Is this gonna be like the old one's with 4 cars per page? One car per page?

We have enough great looking/performing cars to do 4 cars per page. I like the idea of the dozen but #12 in Jan, #1 in Dec. Faster cars as the year goes by.

I like my Maxim calendar. :)
The one picture per month is what I'll vote for.

I'm game for a magnet calendar...kinda small, but kinda big enough to see the numbers on the fridge. Not sure what car(s) would fit on that size, but I'm sure there's one parked orange and black car that a few of us will never grow old seeing it daily! Just a thought!

Vinny was one of the most creative people I ever met. I never told him, but one of my favorite things was the SBZ calenders he made up for us. He always said how much of a PITA it was, but I still go back and look at my saved old calenders. Man, we had a lot of fun.
Dave, Id like to see you take the great calender ideas Vinny had and carry it on, not over complicate it. ;)

the more cars the better, like at the track, cruise ins, and any stangbangerz sponsored events.

I like the wall calender. It was nice when we only had a dozen cars to put on it but with the size of the site and number of members who would want to see their own pride and joy it gets hard to please everyone. At least 4 featured rides per page and if you could get creative enough to put anyone who wants their car pictured on their birthday, that would be pretty damn cool. I know it would be a ton of work tho.

I have been checking with a few sources, there is a possibility I could produce individual calendars where YOU pick the 12 featured photos - everyone could have their own individual set-up. Interested?

Here is how is might work out:
You pick 12 or 18 of your favorite photos for a flip type calendar
Looks like we can get the standard 8-1/2" x 11" size for something like:
12 month - $40 ea.
18 month - $45 ea.
Or the premium version in the 13-1/2" x 19" size:
12 month - $50 ea.
18 month - $60 ea.
Add about $5 for shipping
If enough think they might be interested, I might start the process.
I am NOT going to do what Vinny did, just too much and he had to order a bunch of calendars that he got stuck with.
Let me know what you think

I tried to post the following in the Vendor Section under Hyper-Performance, but can't get the post to work, so I'll post it here until we can get the post issue straightened out:
I took a few of my favorite photos from the year and have created a 2008 calendar! Cost is $25.00 plus shipping and can be easily ordered right off the web. (Note: I am not ordering a bunch of these, they can be made one at a time to suit your needs - order one or a hundred!)
Here are the photos you will see in the calendar: http://hyperperformance.smugmug.com/photos/220241194-L.jpg
Here is where you can order your calendar:
http://stores.lulu.com/hyperperformance
We can also creat a CUSTOM calendar with photos you choose, here is how:
Email the following information to: hyperperform "at" aol.com
1) Choose 12 or 18 of your favorite photos from my photo website http://hyperperformance.smugmug.com/Cars :
2) Write down the location or event of each photo plus the file name (or a good description so we can locate your photos)
3) Choose if you want a 12 month or 18 month calendar
4) Choose your calendar size: 8-1/2" x 11" or 13-1/2" x 19"
5) Choose what month and year you want the calendar to start on (example: April 2009)
5) Include your email address so I can send the proof to you
Costs: 12 month 8-1/2" x 11": $40
18 month 8-1/2" x 11": $45
12 month 13-1/2" x 19": $50
18 month 13-1/2" x 19": $60
(not including shipping)
Once your proof is approved I'll send you a link to order the calendars from - you can order as many as you wish.
Either the StangBangerz calendar or you very own custom created calendar will make great gifts!

:lol::lol:
That is exactly what I was thinking.
I still think the best idea from a sales perspective is 4 cars per page, and maybe a month dedicated to the DD. People are going to be much more likely to buy one if their car is in it. The custom calendar idea is really cool, but sounds like a ton of work for somebody.

True....but I also know how long it takes to put something like this together.....maybe next year....

Right you are! And that explains the cost difference. I won't tell you exactley how many hours it takes to put these together....but I'm working real cheap!!! I'm just offering it up if someone wants to be their own star each and every month!
