what size injectors?

how big should i go? i have a sytemax 2 intake,trickflow tw heads, trickflow stg 1 cam and 9lb powerdyne(stock short block). i was thinking 42's but would 50's be to big? i might be going to a stg 2 cam if that makes any difference. i have 30lb injectors and an FMU but dont want to use them. thanks for any help

I would just buy 60's that way you don't end up buying them twice:D Btw my 60's have better drivabilty than my 42's did.

Yeah get 60, they won't really cause any problem and then you'll have enough injector for some pretty serious power.

Might be too late , but stick with high impedence injectors. Low impedence will fry the computers injector drivers. Finding high's in anything over 50 is hard to do.
This is assuming your using a factory computer.

The way I see it...........

42's will support more power then the factory block will hold.

Also FWIW..........

All the injector calculators tell me I need 102 lb injectors for my 4 banger 2.3 to put down 500 at the crank. Someone needs to tell my 52's that. They must have been doing it on accident for the last 3 years. The fact that it also pegged the wideband from 3500-6500 must have been a fluke too.

the make 75lb highs now just buy the 60's Mike Bell at dayton 5.0 can order them I'm sure

I have a very similar setup to you.

255 intank, 255 inline, 42lb SVO green tops, 90mm lightning MAF, Trickflow heads, TF stage one cam, TF street heat intake, novi 1000 at 5.7 psi, stock fuel lines, stock fpr. SCT flipchip by LaSota.

The 42lbs are good to 450 rwhp and 400 rwhp is the limits of the factory shortblock so they are more than big enough.

i used 42's with my powerdyne combo for 440 rwhp. i did run into an issue with fuel not getting to one side of stock fuel rail and burnt holes in all 4 of driver side slugs. some say no problem with stock lines and rail with large injectors, but i would not agree. i was using 255 in tank w trex. i would check into this issue as well.i would try to go with 50's and whatever pump/rail setupthose have been successful with. rick anderson told me that 50's would not work with factory rail. i now know why but also have a friend that did use stock rail and did not have any major issues
