we are going to run a 15" wheel on our 83GT with stock 83 T5 and a 8.8 with a 4.10 gear. a nice 351W will be powering it. We want to run a nice drag radial for the first year to help minimize damaging anything. So what size shall I shop for?

275/50/15 should work nicely on a 8" wheel.

275/50 or 275/60 the 50s would probably keep it in the powerband better, but the 60s would hook a bit better. What kind of trap speeds are you anticipating?

we are thinking around 112+

According to my calculations the 275/50 will put you going through the traps at about 5900-6000, the 275/60 will be around 5500. I would say the 275/50 will be best if you are going to keep that gear.
