Work has cut hours again... and next week they cut me down to one day... ONE F'ing DAY, im highly pissed to no end, but now ive been thinking i need to get back to school and quit dicking with these dead end jobs... Is there any HVAC/R guys on here that know where I can go to school to learn the trade? somewhere in the Eastern Cincy area... I really really need help, and I appreciate it...

I think thats the best thing to try. they will some times pay for school and pay you more when you get finished.

Oaks has a program for adult hvac. So should Grant tech. Either one will get you where you want to be.

Come on bro, not too hard, if you can pass an HVAC class you can definitely research proper format on how to compose an elegant resume.

I'd even help ya if you want as a fellow banger.

Poor or no resume = low paying job. Your resume basically list your credentials and qualifications. Are you nearby any colleges? Most colleges have some type of helping center for their students on keeping an eye out for jobs and also helping with resume. It wouldn't hurt to stop by and see if you can pick up some papers with the usual dos and don'ts and maybe see if they can help. Since you're not a student it might not be free but doubtful it'll be more than $20-$25. You can probably find a local person to have it professionally done for $150'ish, along with cover letter.

Feel free to post up and allow us to give you some opinions on it when you get started.

There are several HVAC schools throughout the Tri-state. Do your homework first before joining any school. See if you can talk to someone thats finished the course you are interested in. Find out if they feel they got there money's worth. I know a guy that recently went to Jonle Heating & Air. They've have their own course. He already had 6 months of schooling and 9 months of hands on refrigeration working with me. Thats what got his foot in the door at Jonle.
Local 392 is a very good course. Just takes a long time to get through their program. Their training center is located in Tri County.
