The red lines are drawn in there to show how the motor that used to be evenly mounted is now severely cocked. I guess the already upgraded motor mounts were not up to the task. Though I recommended he should buy a Mustang, his solution is to buy some newfangled metal motor mounts that I've never heard of.

FYI, this was done on a 12.79 @105 pass with a 1.67 short time. This is a basically stock car folks... Nice.

he said the mounts he broke were the upgraded "rally spec" mounts. He's looking at some "cusco metal mounts".

Lol when we get one like that we know whats going on. Most of them have COBB stickers and the access port on them.

he tells them exactly what he's doing with the car. They laughed at him when he told them what happened. This car's not a year old and will be on its third set of motor mounts. His comment is, when people compare the STI and the EVO, they always say the drivetrain is weak in the STI. Needless to say, he begs to differ. Countless dragstrip launches at 6500 rpm and the ONLY thing he's been able to hurt is the motor mounts. Hell, he blew up the transaxle in his brand new vette after 1100 miles!
