How do these compare in strength? Are the clutches the same for the two? driveshaft yoke? driveshaft length on the both the same? Thanks, Eddie.

Clutches and d/s yokes and length are the same for both. That changes when you go to a TKO. A 3550 is definatly stronger than a T5...how much..it's hard to exactly say. I'm sure tremec has rating spec's for them. I use to run a 3550 with a spec stage 3 clutch behind my 347...went high 10's n/a, 10.3's on the spray with it. I ended up hurting it every season from powershifting it...I really needed to have a proshifted tranny.

kathy (kathyp408) runs a tremec 3550 in her mustang ... she puts down over 475 rwhp with her 408, i think she got about 9 seasons on that tranny before it finally went a few weeks back ...

I have a good T5, with brand new steeda tri-ax shifter, and hardened bearing retainer. I also have an aluminum spec flywheel, centerforce dual friction I would sell.

hmmm....that would leave the rest of the parts list being a bell, clutch fork, clutch cable, peddles, drive shaft?....if you havent sold it come summer i would be very interested in it....
