My brudda (IBSTROKIN) and I were talking about speeding tickets a little while ago. I said that I had heard about a national database for speeders about a year ago.

I don't know if the system is operational or not.

Is there a national database for speeding tickets?

I'm not sure if there is or not, but if there is I'm sure you can find a discussion of it here:

The National Motorists Association (http://www.motorists.org/)

I know that most states are part of a interstate database so that tickets from other states will hit your home state liscense.

I got the points from my KY ticket 2 years ago.

My company does driving record checks before they hire someone for insurance reasons. Out of state tickets show up.

it depends on how it is done.

When you are pulled over the officer for the most part has no idea your driving record from out of state.
The only thing that will flag is if you are expired or suspended.
At least for KY at the moment.

Ky. doesn't share speeding info from other states but if you get a reckless, improper driving or other offense like that it will show up.

Years ago Georgia was charging speeders for improper driving so it would show up on their license.

I wish I had been given a ticket in Ohio a few weeks ago instead of KY. A few miles back and I would have.
