What you think Keith?
We'd has about 45 minutes less sunlight, so maybe a Sunday shoot? With it being cooler, bonfire more useful.
10/21 or 10/22
10/28 or 10/29
Speaking of 10/22, I found my 4 30 round mags and quick loader for the 10/22

Just spoke with my Bro and he said it is getting pretty close to deer season. I will have to see if it is OK with Dad first. I will let everyone know. I found the turn by turn directions with miles in my van today. I will post them up.

Don't forget the French Milled soap with the mints.
It'll be less dry this time, so let's bring the falme thrower and fire works too.
Any suggestions on food to cook?
Dang, and I just finished cleaning all those guns too.

Keith, can I suggest Saturday night bonfire with Sunday day shoot?
Nothing got crazy.....except those two IDIOTS at 3:30 in the morning.
Did Keith and I wake anyone up?
Still haven't tallied how much ammo I went thru, about 600 rounds in the short period I was shooting.
Also, I have some OLD skank beer I might be picking up if anyone wants to do 10 yard handgun drills.
Might I add, the misfires I had with old .22 LR ammo = good training tool.

What ever you need to do. You need to fire off a few rounds this time.
Keith

I'll be fine with sleeping in the car..............
......if my ass doesn't explode!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you see a box of baby wipes and a spare pair of tighty whitey's, the PARTY IS ON!!!!!!!!!!
Might I add, ANYONE attending has to fire off 5-6 rounds. I'll bring a .22 lever action that shoots shorts/longs/long rifles and provide the .22 short ammo. Being scared of shooting is a good thing. Just like making a 8-9 second pass in a 'stang. Get in and do it!
Shooting is fun, once your used to the safety measurses (common sense!) and I don't HUNT, just plink.
might bring my son and his GF if they wish to shoot, Ms. Holly you should attend atleast one farm party!

Will do. I didn't bring the .22 last time 'cause it sounded like you were all bringing BIG guns. Didn't realize you would also be shooting the itty-bitty ones. I would like to shoot something BIG this time!

I think he is saying there is now a "No Open Burning" ban in affect due to the drought. This would include campfires/bonfires.

I really hate to piss on all the plans but I just talked to my Dad and he has hunting buddies coming down to the farm almost every weekend from now till mid november. Sorry, no parties. Then after all that, it gets cold and snowy and just getting there would be a challenge. Lets plan a spring party. By then, we can have a huge get together and I will have enough ammo for everybody.

Orange vests are like orange clays right, only the move and RUN!
Yikes, they can also shoot back!
Spring it is, state range IMHO only good for dailing in scopes for tack driving.
ALTHOUGH>>>>>>>
a buddy of mine just dialed in a 30-06 around Alexandria, maybe a place to plink?

Was that the Bob White Club, or Claryola Fish and Game range? Been to both.

If any of you want to just fire off a few rounds, Shooters in Independence is always a good time. Pistols, rifles, most any caliber allowed. I have the yearly membership and a few hour guest passes so if anyone wants to meet up for an hour or so, let me know. Maybe we could just take over the range for a few hours.

I stopped by Shooters today for some ammo. They are raffling off a Kimber rifle in .308. One dollar a chance and there is only 1000 chances to be sold. They have 250 left. I got 5 on it. It is a nice rifle.

I could use a high power bolt action, was always looking at 22-250.

I went down to the farm today to get the trailer to haul the pile to the crusher. I went to the range to get the fridge and just had to ventilate it a few more times before loading it into my pick up. The race truck.
I went to go get one of my engine blocks to add to the pile's weight but someone already swiped them. Both motors and both trans's.
On a good note I picked up a whole bunch of brass laying on the ground. Mostly the stuff from my AR. Got alot of 9mm so I will get it reloaded for the next party.

Do you all remember the guy I invited to the farm party with all the full auto guns? I cleaned the carpet in his home today and he was all loaded up and ready to come down but got called into work. He was going to bring a belt fed browning, an uzi, a M-16, a thompson, and a few more. He told me to let him know when the next one is. Don't worry, I will let him know.
I am still planning on having a farm party in the spring. I am thinking sometime after the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. That is where I find the best prices on ammo and stuff. I will keep you all posted.

My brother and I went down to the farm today. We intended to get a carpet cleaning machine blower to replace the one that took a dump in his truck. It came out of the frame a little easier than we thought so we went shooting for a few before coming home. The multi trunked tree in the shooting lane is minus two trunks. Less than 200 rounds from my AR, my .308, and a few from my .22 and the trunks are laying on the ground. Oh and one IED for good measure.
I ordered a case of tannerite targets. I hope they get here before new years eve. If not, the spring farm party should really loud.
