Whats the best program for me to pick up, to make backups of my DVD's? I'd like to get the same quality as the original if possible. Also, with so many burners to pick from, does anyone have a recommendation?

DVD Shrink 3.2 and Nero6

Only problem, almost impossible to get DVD Shrink 3.2 in USA now due to legal fights. I lost my version when a HDD crashed a few weeks ago. Although the info/program was backed up, I haven't tried putting it back onto the main drive.

You also need DVD Dekrypter(sp?). I believe you can get it if you get a program called Rip It For Me. Do a google on that. Also for future reference try a web site called afterdawn.com and go to the forums. You can find most answers to any question you have there.

DVD is pathetically easy to get.

Use nero to burn after that.

DVD Shrink is good...if it doesn't rip a DVD then find a program called Any DVD to run in the background which will fix that. I mainly use DVD Fab Platinum....it's awesome and doesn't require an external burner, and it'll rip movies into iPod format which is nice if you have an iPod video.

I believe that was the software on Sony products that was leaving a hidden program on your hard drive. Aren't sure though.
