I am running a Zex dry kit and just recently put a set of GT40P heads on the motor. I am currently using a Autolite 764 and gapped at .054. I have yet to spray it since I put these heads on here. Will I be alright to use this plug with the nitrous, and if so what should I close my gap up to? I currently have it set up with a 100 shot.

I would keep the nitrous off the car Steve..... Its the only way I have a chance at the track! LOL

You lol but unfortunately its true. Its true if your wanting to be consistent anyways. I would just use it at Test N Tune events for fun. But after this past Sat at the track, you would of thought I was spraying it with my times. I dont know how you pull a 1.71 60ft and then screw up the rest of the run on the way down the track and pull a 13.45. Somehow I figured out how to. I think I try to hard when the pressure is on. :lol:

The 764's will be fine....close the gap up to .035", pull 4 deg of timing from what you race at n/a, and run at least 93 pump gas.

I run 14 degrees n/a. My car runs like crap at 10 degrees. I have been told that I will be alright to spray 100 shot at 14 degrees. Not sure if I should or not. I was thinking about running it at 12 degrees but if its true that I can run a 100 shot at 14 degrees initial then thats even better. Any help on this would be appreciated. I am running 764 plugs for GT40P's and they are closed up to .035.

Every motor is different in what it likes and how far you can push your luck with timing. If you were gonna run straight 110 leaded race gas on the spray...I'd say sure...but on 93 pump..it's your motor. Nitrous gets a bad rap for hurting parts...when really it's people not knowing what to do or getting to aggressive with their tuneups. Leave the timing at 14 (or higher...i ran ~16 deg n/a when I ran a gt40p head combo) when your on the street or racing n/a. Then when you are going to spray it at the track..take out 4 degrees...just takes a 1/2" wrench and a timing light.

O.K. I appreciate it guys. I have been thinking about just going ahead and putting in my jets for 125 shot. Will 10 degrees be safe for that or not?
