all you need is the computer and mass air meter, then you get the plug with the 4 wires on it and wire it in to your existing harness. Will save you a lot of time and works as good if not better.
Mass air conversion plug harness.
Yeah it would be a lot easier to just add the plug than to change out the entire harness.

If you have an 87 or 88, that harness won't work. A few of the plugs are different and the car won't start. You need an 89 harness which will drop right in. The easiest way is to use the PMAS harness, a m/a computer and be done with it.

contact rohe racing and order the mass air conversion harness it takes about 30 mins to install and you are done. The harness you have will not work in your car without changing a bunch of stuff. The pigtail harness from rohe is only 30.00 or so and is very simple to do.

Just for my own curiosity, what plugs are different and what needs to be added/changed to make a 91 or so harness work?

Dash harness and the harness running to the rear which I think is all brake lights and also fuel pump relay and wiring

94 95 Mas air meter will work as long as you have that plug for that meter.Its different then the fox bodies.If you buy just the mass air pigtail{the one that plugs into the meter}I have all the instructions on how to convert a non mass air car to mass air.With pretty pictures too.:bigthumb.But if you gank a harness from a mass air equiped stang from years 88{only california cars}to 93,then just take out old harness and stab the new one in.But there are a few sensors you have to deal with.But i have the tutorial for both ways.Whether you buy just the pigtail or the whole harness.

pigtail sounds easier and the best way to go...i dont want it to be out of order for more then a day or to...i like to drive it :)....

I used a 94-95 meter on my 88 and the plug was the same. I had to fab a mounting tube for the air filter tho.

Hmmmm,i thought the 94 95 plugs were 4-wire and the 89-93's were 3 wire.I could be wrong though.All i know is NOT to use the computer from an SN-95.And the very best computer to use is the A9 series or if you can try to find an 88 cali car computer{ive only seen one here that i personally know of}

Also, 91-93 harness has all the airbag plugs.

What injectors are you going to run? If 19#ers, get a maf from the 94-95 gt. Do the work to fit a filter and you'll be much happier.

The 90-93's harness' have 2 plugs in the corner where the firewall/dr side inner fender meet, 86-89's have one ( or visa versa). I put a newer style harness in my car years ago and the fuel pump wouldn't run. The 89 cars were mass air, and that harness will drop right in. As far as the computer is concerned, any 89-93 will do(v8). Many people feel the a9l computers are better, but if you go the sct chip/tune route, it really doesn't matter. I did the plug and wire it in on my car once and had no faith in it, so I switched to a 89 harness.
