What is the difference between 1.6 and 1.7 roller rockers? How much of a HP increase is there between the two?

The 1.7 will give you about a .544 lift vs. .512 with a 1.6 on your f-cam. As long as your heads keep flowing and your springs can handle the lift then you should see about 10 horse. Did you check piston to valve clearance when you put the p heads on? They are usally close with a stock cam and 1.7's

No I haven't and after doing some research on some other sites I think I will be best to keep the 1.6's I have on there right now

i had 1.7 on my car and had no problems you should be fine with a .544 lift as long as your heads are not milled.

I never liked the idea of 1.7s....i know it's not always easy but the best idea is just to get a cam with the lift you want, rather than put the extra geometry strain on the valves/rockers/springs. Then again Ford did put'em on the '93 Cobra so what do i know.

Another thing Steve, I've heard that fulcrum mount rockers, opposed to rollers, exhibated better durability in on again, off again driving encountered with road course and street duty.
