Safe trip to KC - Pinks

Here's wishing everyone traveling to Kansas City, whether by truck, car or plane, a safe trip. The tow rig is leaving late tonite, hopefully with a few cars in the caravan. Some folks are flying out tomorrow.

I hope all involved in the trip have a good trip out and back and have some fun while they are there! Be careful.

The good thing about us leaving tomorrow night is that we get there tomorrow night too! ;) Two hour flight... WOO HOO!

I already packed. I have the Grand Damnit packed with a few items to drop off at Kevins this evening so him and Amy can take them out to KC for me (I will be over right after work).

It's just a few minutes after midnight and the Pinks car just left Carlisle and is "southbound and down, loaded up and trucking" (I-75 S that is) The trip has begun!

Thanks for all the well wishes. We've built a safe, fast car that I think Mad Matt REALLY likes. I know I can speak for all of the guys that have been working on it so hard, we all want to make everyone proud. We are giving this our absolute A game. I can promise you that no one will outwork us!!!

It's 6AM and the car is just outside St. Louis. Just in time for rush hour traffic, yeah! And my truck just turned 200,000 miles!

I just got off the phone with Holly, and she just checked us in for our flight. I can't wait! Until then, I'm at work. We get the best of both worlds, road trip to Columbus, and then we fly to KC. I'll be having me a drink on da soul plane.

$300 in fuel and 600+ miles and the car is in KC in our hotel parking lot! Roughly 10 hours drive time, straight through. We are gonna get cleaned up and meet Kelly and Mike at the track since they just arrived via plane.
