The other day i tought i run the a/c in my daily driver and the air coming out was not as cold as it was before. Now i know its hot out but i only run the a/c when its above 90 with high humidity. If anyone knows how to test it I would like the help. How much does it cost to get it recharged if that what it needs? This is my first car with a/c and the first time i've had a problem with it.

you can get a recharge kit from autozone fairly cheap, get the one with the pressure gauge so you can test the system later

What year is the car and better yet, does it take r-12 or r-134? Youll be hard presssed to find r12 anymore cheap and you cant mix the 2 types or refrridgerant.

when you have the A/C turned on is the compressor running and the lines getting caked with condensation? You also might be low or possibly have a leak. Most A/C leaks are at the condenser up front cause that is where all the rocks hit it. Try recharging it and see if it holds the pressure. You can also get someone to do a leak down on the system to see if it is leaking. Then recharge it again to see if you can tell where the leak is coming from. If not then its time to dye it.
