10MM vs. Bowling Pin

For several years, I've wanted a 10MM pistol. I sold my G27 about two years ago. I wanted another Glock to take it's place so... I bought a new G20.

If I had known that green was available, I would have bought that.

Anyway, my dad gave me some leftover 10MM ammunition (how cool is that?). I shot into an old bowling pin (free standing at 25 feet) for fun.

This is the result. BTW, it's nice to have a 3 axis CNC mill to chase after hollow points in Maple!

I consider the Winchester Subsonics to be a complete failure. They hit the bowling pin, made a small dent, and dropped to the ground. The Winchester Silvertips worked very well! I do realize that these are old bullets and that bullet technology has improved in the last 15 years.

I just wanted to have some fun. I had a new pistol, an old bowling pin and my Dad gave me some free ammunition. How could I resist?

Sweet a 10mm and 45acp are my next two guns on my to buy list. For fun plinking like that I like to use my 7.62x25 or for more of a challenge my XD40SC. I finally got off my butt and took my concealed carry permit class today ( ugh 8 hrs of class room talk/movies sucked and only 2hr of range time :( ), and signed up for a street tactical class as well so that gives me some thing to look forward too here over the next couple of months.

My farm party in the daylight hours will be a shooter's nervana. I have a "few" guns to shoot and all the ammo for em too. Plus all the room of a farm, what else could you ask for.
