my buddy at work mentioned i still owed him the title to my bike trailer i sold him, i said i still needed to get plates for my flat bed i bought a couple months back

anyway, he said his dad was looking for a flat bed and put a call in

his dad has a 90 seven up mustang convertible auto, supposed to be in decent shape, 5.0, green white top and leather

are these things worth anything over a regular gt,

i know his dad usually keeps stuff pretty nice, i'm gonna go check it out today, just curious if anyone had feedback on em

They were originally built to be sold as a 7-Up promotional car, but the deal with 7-Up fell through...but a portion of the cars were still built before that so they were just sold to the public. They're considered a limited edition because of the special paint (Emerald Green, very close to the old Highland Green) and white leather interior. I'd say they're definitely rare, and probably will be worth more than a typical fox of the same model/year but not yet. I believe they did come with white turbines but i think the white Ponys were either an option, or people just flocked to put them on because they're better looking. Here's a pic of a very nice example.

I thought you already had one a couple of years ago. Pretty sure somebody on here did.

For 79k, that's one tired looking vert.

It's basically just another limited edition color option like the yellow w/white and red w/white verts. I don't mind the one in the pic i posted but otherwise they're kinda ugly...i'm not a big fan of green...it just reminds me of pine trees..lol

I think they had the plain turbine, they were all lx models with white tops, all white leather seat with white pipeing on the seat. The rest of the interior is black a side from the upper door panels and qtr trim.
Andy law's dad has one all original with low low mi., under a cover in the shop.I have'nt seen under that cover in so long I dont even remember if it has leather or if its a all cloth car.

I had a summer edition 92 vibrant red with white top, white leather (black pipeing on seat),white wheels. I should have kept it just to have a vert. I replaced the seats in mine with all white ones and every time I see one of these cars I catch myself lookin at the seats wondering if it was my old one. Last I saw it it was in Amelia.
I wanted to get a yellow one with chrome ponys I have always liked those.

I had one of those 3 years ago. It was a neat car, but really just another 5.0 vert. They're worth the same as any 5.0LX, but only big money when they're ultra-low mileage.

I just saw a very clean one driving through Amelia today....he stopped at a light right by me, had the top down and his family packed inside. It did have the basic turbines so i was wrong on the white.

okay, heres the lowdown, not as pristine as i would have hoped for,

got a few decklid and cowl is faded, rust in the center of 1 door, pass side rocker, and bottom of rear decklid, top is somewhat new in good shape, and rear seat is good shape, but front seats aren't that nice, i don't know what it is with these white cars, but seats go to hell pretty quick,

underneath of the car looked really good and clean,

no leaks anywhere, not even the valve covers, as far as running, it'd been under a cover for 2 years since he bought it here. started right up, a/c is cold, but smells, i imagine its from the mouse / mice i seen running out of it lol,

# 3 i think has a white plug, he thinks the injector is bad on it, it seemed to run good, you couldn't mash it outta the hole, but seemed ok once you were moving, oil pressure is a bit low, he thinks it needs an oil pump, there is no smoking or anything coming from it,

his dad rips his motor apart every few weeks, he does a lot of racing at tristate, he has the little red maverick, i think it says "i believe" on the side

on slowdown from o/d the car starts to shutter a bid right before it downshifts, as soon as it downshifts, it gets pretty smooth again. not sure if its the tranny or torque converter.

heres some pics

I dunno man....that's a project for sure if you're looking to get it cleaned back up. I wouldn't say anything more than 1500, but that's just me and i'm pretty anti-vert.

well definitely an easy car to work with ... just a bunch of cosmetic work needed ... a green lx vert, it would be fun in the sun :bigthumb

Terry The 7-up cars number's are around the 4,000 to 4,200. It was a promo with NBA for a fan to win if they made a free throw or something like that. If you can get it for 1,500 that's a good deal. It's look like it good orig. Sound's like it just need's to be driven. let me know if you don't want it...Doug

I know that guy, he was the NHRA division 3 Pro Class champ a few years ago and got to go to Pamona Ca. to compete against the other divisional champs. Nice guy and his car runs good too
