I'd happen to turn on channel 12 news, they were reporting that he'd collapsed......then midway thru reported that he'd passed away due to heart attack.

DAMN , when I worked @ McCluskey I met The presidents son Pat (he is one of the asst coaches @ Wake) he said Skip was the absolute best when it came to the game I kinda started folllowing them last year ??? not a good season to start but things were looking up :(
That sucks...Skip was nothing but class.

Saw it on Channel 12 News when I got home. :(
I never did and still don't care for Xavier, but I liked Skip....he was a cool cat and rather successful everywhere he coached.....only D1 coach to ever put 3 different schools into the NCAA year-end tourney in his first year at each school. :bigthumb

are you talking about Pat Kelsey? ... i played high school basketball against him ... he was pretty good :bigthumb played in the st.bernard pavilion league with him for years ...

I HATE B-Ball for the most part........
But there are people like Skip that are above the rest in leadership and kindness as well as having a vision of what they wish to accomplish.
I think everyone here can see where I'm going with that thought.
