Get togethers

What has happened to all the get togethers that use to be posted on here? Are people not as friendly this year? Or just not doing anything. Seems that last summer, a person had a choice of 4 or 5 things to do each weekend all summer long. Someone was always doing this or that.

I may not have gone to alot of them but at least the choice was there.

I think everybody is busy this summer with car shows and racing (UMTR). The weekends they don't have anything going on, they want to spend at home with their families. I know I have been busy a lot of weekends so far this summer, I'm ready for a weekend to just chill at home!

We are working on getting the fall cruise-in together, stay tuned!

Weekly get togethers on Beechmont Ave.
2 organized meets at Crossroads in White Oak
Friday night cruise-ins in Milford
Friday night cruise-ins in Hamilton
Meetings at White Castle's in Middletown
Sunday cruise-ins in Florence
Rolling-on-the-River car show in Saylor Park
Plus all of the random car shows and Test 'n Tune events...

Coming up we have the following....

5th Annual Fall Cruise In (early October)
NMRA Columbus
NMRA Bowling Green
UMTR events at Edgewater on 8/3-8/5 and 10/13
Vinny5oh Tribute this Saturday at Rhino's East
Pinks Taping in Kansas City on 8/10
Tri-State Mustang Club Car Show this Sunday

Im with Holly. work has been busier and the weekends that I dont have something planned, I usualy go fishing at Deckerent's farm or sit on my ass and rest for the next week. This weekend isnt going to be very restful, but it IS going to be fun.

And don't forget about the cruise in at Subaru and Lincoln Mercury of Beechmont this Saturday the 28th from 1:00-5:00 come stop out before you go to Chucks deal in Eastgate since its the next exit down on 275.

Thanks Matt for informing me of some of the Events and the other get togethers of days past and future. After reading the list, I have made a few so far.

As far as organizing one, I gave that up (organizing events) when I quit my managment job a few years back. Way to much stress involved. It makes me appreciate you guys that do the organizing.

But I like Holly's and Kev's reply better.

I always thought that if its organized, its an Event. A "hey I'm gonna... come join us." Is a get together.

So don't organize.....get some guys together, plan to go to Hooters/BW3/random bar or pool hall/track/etc... and then post up.

Other than the Cruise In's, I don't organize.....I just make plans and post up inviting everyone. ;)

They had something on the news two weeks ago where they were giving people tickets for drinking while canoeing. What a bunch of crapola, what's cabrewing without the brews? I don't think I'd chance it again. Stupid river police! It's not like you are going to ram your canoe into somebody and kill them.

I have been on a picture mission, going through discs and discs of pictures (my new avatar is one I found, I took that in Bowling Green in 2005). I found lots of funny cabrewing pics!
