I am having a new garage built to replace my old one that was crumbling. It is in the process of being built right now. It is 30' x 30' with 12' ceiling. Why a 12' ceiling you ask? can you say L-I-F-T. It will have a concrete floor, lots of outlets, a workbench, space for our 2 motorcycles and 2 cars. It will have (2) 8' x8' doors and a personnel door. Now, if I can talk my wife into that plasma screen TV-hmmm!

Sweet! We have a 24'x40' and it is great. Enough outlets and lights for 5 garages. And enough room to park 4 cars, including both trucks! You'll love it.

Believe me when I say it, get 10x10 doors on that thing.
I have a 36x46 shop with a 12'6" ceiling and 2 10x10 doors. If I built another, it would be 12' wide doors.

Do a search on BCI barn builders. I got mine there it's a 30x56 12' very nice stuff for 5500 included everything. They were suppose to charge me a 1100 delivery fee but never did:D Even with the delivery fee it was a lot cheaper than anywhere else. I even had a wainscote and my trusses are 4' oc 8' post and 2' sides and roof 4-12 pitch almost double the wood in most the other kits I priced. This was a few years ago so I'm sure their higher now but I would check them out.

Well, the building is pretty much finished except for the electricity- that comes next week. I wish I knew how to post a picture, it really is a thing of beauty. :cool2:

The concrete floor is 7-9" thick. The min. for a lift is 4". I am getting the lift from Greg Smith in Indianapolis, it is the XL-9 model . It will lift 9000 lbs. I think it will handle my Mustang or my wife's Miata.
