i need to knwo if i need a helmet to race the convertible tommorow and if so what rating does it have i got a dot dirtbike helmet but i dont know if that will fly

Yes you will need one it probably will not fly unless you peel up the foam inside and it says a Snell number....I believe Snell 00 is the new standard.

i have a bengals helmet you can borrow, im telling you tri-state doesn't care! ... give them 30.00 and you can race naked with a kfc chicken bucket on your head :lol: who dey!

Not now that they are NHRA...

they still don't care ... i've been there 3 times this year and haven't been (teched) once ... wore shorts on every pass ... thats what i love about tri-state!

i seen craig metcalf run with a shattered windshield back in may ...

No kidding...It is kinda weird that they would do that...they usually tech the S/P bracket hard every time I am there...maybe they just don't like me.

for test n tune its easy to get by ... they might tech us harder for powerfest, because it is an event? ... i've never bracket raced down there ...

Oh...and I have never been to test and tune. If I do I am taking a bucket of KFC just in case. I get too hot in my helmet sometimes.

I always wore a dirtbike helmet, I don't know if those are snell rated or not but they allowed it everytime.

If not I am sure there will be enough people there that would let you borrow theirs while they are not racing.
