Because GM paid lots of money to have the entire 2009 line in the movie.

The new Camaro is a 2009 model. Did you notice that the Solstice is a coupe? Right now, it's only available as a convertible or with a liftoff hardtop. Soon, we'll get a coupe (that's the one that I'd like to have).

All of the goodguys were GM vehicles.

As my brother (IBStrokin') said "Ford didn't give them that Mustang, they bought it". :lol:

From what i'm reading, they got a Saleen so they didn't have to work with Ford at all...they went through Saleen to get a Mustang. Otherwise it probably would've been a GT500 if they got one from Ford.
