Fanfuckingtastic movie....i was very skeptical but damn it was awesome....everything the cartoon ever tried to be. It was adult enough to appeal to the kids who are now grown up who grew up with the cartoon, but still fun enough to appeal to kids. My son went crazy over it. Everyone in the theater actually gave the movie a standing ovation and applause...it was that good.

They have the original guy who did Optimus Prime's voice, and the movie opens with a dialog in his voice....you pretty much know from there on out that it won't be a let down. There's also some really funny parts but i won't give them away :D

OMG, I am going Friday night again to see it.

Shit when has there ever been a movie where a 2nd Gen Camaro was the focal point lol

Funny thing is the steering wheel that had the autobots symbol in the middle of it, is the same steering wheel I have in my 79 lol

And come on who loved that fight between the camaro and a certain other car???

Watched it tonite. Amazing!

There was clapping at several parts in the movie, especially when the little spy got his. You know what I'm talking about :D

GM owns that movie. It should come with a disclaimer. I don't have any complaints though. CG was AMAZING.

Standing Ovation in our theatre as well!

Taking myself and four energetic boys to see it tonight at Starlite Drive In... I surely hope it's worth the headache and stress of the insanity that they will cause me... I wish I had an oz of their energy!

Max (7) is too excited!

I may have to take one of my anxiety pills before I head out...

Ummm, Actually, no. The only thing it has to remotely do with Ford, is that Saleen remodeled a GTO into the "Camaro" for Bumblebee. It is not a production Camaro, and certainly is not a Mustang.

The Buildup (http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=121044#10)

Link is to an Edmunds Article on how they "transformed" the GTO into the Camaro Concept.

YEP, that movie kicks ass! Definitely worth every penny and I might even take them back on Thursday to see it again. I actually ended up with my seven year old, Max, and his buddy, Toby. My thirteen year old boy couldn't get ahold of his buddy, and since he can't control his smart mouth and B.S., he got left behind... No anxiety pill needed!

You should have seen them "playing" transformers at intermission! Too cool. Max has already asked me about 100 times if we can buy it on DVD. Yes sir, as soon as it comes out we'll be first in line! People even cheered and clapped at the end of the movie! :bigthumb :bigthumb

Josh Dumall (sp?) is hard to take in that kind of acting role. He's always been a little hottie but not action / military type dude! I remember him back when he first started his acting career on ALL MY CHILDREN ...(remember those days at the publishing co, Holly?....)... Oh and he is married to "Fergie"...

We left about 15/20 minutes into the second flic... 1408 or something...with John Cusak (sp?). That movie BLOWS! I just couldn't get into it, maybe it was b/c I was tired and the little guys were puckered out...

... So we're in the store today picking up birthday presents for my niece's party today and Maxwell comes across little transformers, $5 a pop... I really don't have the money but I'm just too easy and can't say no... I mean we just seen the movie and all and Transformers are hot and why make the boy wait till his birthday, right? BUT, he can't have just one, he has to have two so "he can play transformers"... So, being the cool mom I am I can understand why he would need two, but the "I got to stand my ground with him 'mom' in me says, "no, buddy, one or none, your choice".

So he continues to have a meltdown and crying and whining and begging... Again, Mom is too easy and he won't shut the hell up. So rather than continue to fuel my melt down, as well as his, I finally give in and buy his butt two of the little frig'n transformers.

You have to understand, though, that Max is the kind of boy that will sit for hours upon hours BY HIMSELF and play with those two transformer toys... that is priceless...

It's a constant bitter-sweet battle, I feel good that I got to make his day but I feel bad b/c I caved in and gave him his way... :dunno:

So next time he knows what to do to get his way.

I don't know, when I was growing up, NO meant NO. There wasn't any talking my mom and dad into it, and I knew better than to try to. It's a lot different nowadays.

aangel
07-31-2007, 03:49 AM
Well, like I said Maxwell will play with those two transformers for HOURS upon HOURS all by himself... he's the same way with his hot wheels and army men/equipment... he's a good boy, really never asks for much.... Looking back, I seldom give in and I usually do stick by my guns, but I guess you have to appreciate the Transformers to relate, right? it's not about spoiling or giving in and giving them their way b/c he threw a tantrum. It was purely that I know he truly wanted the Transformers... he's played with them non stop for two days... even begged me to play with him. I never buy him toys just to be buying him toys. Bless his heart, he offered me ten dollars out of his piggy bank..and said, "momma, I know you didn't have the money and I love you and you can have my 'monies'...". (sniff, sniff). ;)

Yep, I don't feel as bad about giving him. He's my boy and I love him, he's deserving. He's not put them down, he gaurds them like it's his child and this is the second night he's slept with them! :bigthumb
