It worth the three minutes to watch.
Russian jets have vectored thrust nozzles which allow them to turn like that at low speeds.

Thats pretty scary looking. If you did not know you would think they were about to crash. BTW not being a rocket scientist what exactly does it mean to have vectored thrust nozzles and how does that enable the plane to make such slow speed maneuvers?

This video will help.

A vector is a force with a direction. The vectored jet engine thrust can be rotated off of the normal axis. (it's mounted on a gimbal) That allows the thrust to push on the rear of the plane away from the center of gravity, rotating in a direction and speed otherwise not attainable with a rigid mounted engine.

yea it is pretty cool but if someone is on their tail and they try to flip up or what ever they where doing in the video they are sitting deid ducks for about 4 sec. but it is pretty sweet technoligy.

I agree. It would be a suicide maneuver in combat.
Also, keep in mind that dog fights are fought at ranges at the human eye can not see (75-100 miles). The video is somewhat misleading in that respect.
I think what they were trying to demonstrate is the reliablility of their engines with rapidly changing airflow.

doesn't the raptor have that feature?

Yes it does.

BVR (beyond visual range) engagements are not dogfights, those are whose missile hits who first. Real dogfights happen within a mile of the two planes, think WWII fighters using just machine guns to battle each other. That is a real dogfight.
