Im trying to get Travis to score me some 1" thick plate steel (like the stuff they use to cover holes in the road) that I can cut up into plates and mount where I want in my car.

I usually get a bunch of old wheel weights and melt them down . You can check with some local garages that balance tires , they usually have buckets of old weights next to the tire balancers. You could also try bass pro shops for some lead shot .

Most gun stores have shot for the trap shooters. I think the bags are 25 pounds each.
