I want to get my car mini tubbed so I can run a 325/50/15 on the rear and the have the tires still tuck the fender wells. I was wanting to run a 15x10 wheel with a 5.5 inch backspacing. Does anyone on this site do this, or know of anyone that I can talk to about it? Thanks, Eddie.

mine is set up exactly like u said u wanted.2inches per side cutoff, 325/50/15,u will need coilovers in the rear relocated ,antiroll bar, adjustable control arms, and use 9inch ends with 94 rear disc brake, and u will use sheetmetal wheeltubs i guess u know that already.see rigid race cars i did mine myself but i would recomend rigid race cars to do the job

I am running a 15x12 wheel w/ 8 in backspacing using a stock width housing and stock rear drum brakes. I of course did convert to coil overs but plan on running the stock rear sway bar as I plan to use the car for mostly street w/ the occasional pass. This would be a little cheaper way to go if money is tight. BTW I also used the Wolfe Racecraft mini tub kit which was a really nice setup.

It was a last minute decision! I had the aluma stars out and ready to buy, and...... well....... I kinda just changed my mind. I think im going to be happy about it. So I guess my paint job just changed to silver with burnt orange.

Are you using a 9in or 8.8? If you are going 8.8 can you cut enough off each side to work? I figure you will need to cut about 3.5 inch per side. Just curious.

Im going to be using an 8.8, I dont know how much he's narrowing it, but i want the tire track to be as far apart as possible, while still tucking in the wheel wells.

Thats correct. About 3" to 3.5" per side depending on the backspacing of the wheel.

Rob at Rigid cut 3" of each side of mine, Hopefully I can pick it up tommorrow.
I'm not going to minitub it yet. He cut 3" inches of each side so I can run a stock wheel well and if I decide to minitub it later the rearend is already ready.

Cool. I cant wait to see it back under the car. I know it will be tight getting a rim in a stock wheel well...... :)
It will be fine. The Idea is to run a 10" wheel with 3" backspacing for now. Then later if you decide to mini tub the car you can run a 12" wheel with a 5" backspacing.
