Is it possible to sand a clutch disk if it is uneven, like block it and all?
Or do I need to just buy a new disk?
Story: Machine Shop didn't resurface my flywheel correctly and my new disk slips like crazy. Im buying a new flywheel, and Id rather not pay 175 for a new disk. If there is a way to save my old one, ill re-use it. It has been drag raced with and has seen high rev drops and generally hard driving ever since I broke it in.

You can scuff it and try to even out the surface area, BUT, if it doesn't act the way you want it to, then your yanking the tranny out again, and your going to kick yourself in the ass for it. Resurfacing a flywheel isn't rocket science, and if they did it wrong they should stop, or you should see a different machinist. If it were me I'd replace them both, but I've seen guys cut corners and its worked out ok for them. How much is your time worth?

Try a local clutch/drive train shop and pick up a disc from them, there is a local shop here in dayton(american driveline) that sells performance discs for considerably less than $175. I'm not sure how much power your car makes or what yourneeds are, but you can beat that price.

Im using a Spec Stage 3 clutch kit, from what I can tell. replacement stage 3 disks are going to be right around that price.
