I need someone to measure the distance from the inside of the throttle cable bracket to the ball on the throttle body (with closed throttle). I need this from any 86-93 5.0 car. I am converting my 95 to fox style and the cable/bracket I have is about 1/4-3/8" short of reaching the ball to snap on.

no way of re-routing that to make it fit? ... im sure you tried that ... i wish i had my car with me, i would quickly meausure it for you ... im 30 minutes away from it ...

bump for a guy that needs a measurement ...

I am just trying to figure out where MY screw up is. This is all fox stuff and it should just bolt together and work. When I hook up the cable to the throttle body it holds the throttle blade open 1/4 of the way. I have the bracket adjusted as far as I can without modifying it.

Do you still need this Tim? I totally forgot to go out and measure mine yesterday.

I'm seeing 5.5 inches from the center of the ball to the firewall side mounting surface of the bracket. I have a 90mm throttle body, but I don't think that should make any difference.

Perfect, Thanks Paul! I will see where I am off tonight!

Thanks again Paul. My throttle cable is only sticking past the bracket 4-7/8" so i need to see if the gas pedal is holding it back or if the cable is wrong/broke.
