New Toys

The wife and I decided we needed some new toys, and with gas prices where they are thought these would be more cost effective. These are our first bikes, so we are taking our time and getting used to them. Waiting patiently to get into the beginner riding course.

Congrats on the purchase's. The BRC is the best thing you can do!! It may even help lower your insurance a bit too.

I miss my bike...:( I won't get another street bike because of the fact that people around here don't know how to drive!

Thanks guys, they are a load of fun.

The race hasn't happened yet, and wont for some time. I think its going to take her sometime to get used to it and get it on the public streets. She has ridden in the neighborhood and thats it.

The funny thing AJ, is it was her idea. I've wanted a bike for a long time. She surprised me a couple of weeks ago while sitting at Beechmont and 5 mile.

Lisa: How much does that bike cost? (It was a gsxr 600)
Scott: About 8 grand why?
Lisa: No reason
Scott: Why?
Lisa: I want a bike.
Scott: We can look at getting a cruiser big enough for both of us.
Lisa: NO NO NO NO (Shaking finger at Me) I want my own to ride, I am not a
passenger, and I don't want a cruiser, I want a sport bike.

Scott does a little happy dance in his mind, and we proceeded to buy bikes 2 weeks later.

Sweet. I don't think mine will every change her mind. She had a friend get killed on Beechmont a few years back and has been dead set against it. As for the Beginners rider course, I've heard you are better to just show up and see if you can get it on the day. :dunno:

I am going to try the just show up at the BRC and see if it works. I've heard that from a couple of different people.
