Damn that track hooks. My suspension is junk and I was able to do this. The new slicks from Cincy Speed helped too:bigthumb

It has been running 10.2 - 10.3 almost every pass. Still working out the bugs of the new setup.

Nice pic..that's where the pic of my car in my signature came from...same lane even. I have always run a new personal best every time I've ever ran at Norwalk. Last time there (fall of '03) it ran a 10.21 at 130 w/ 1.41 60'....that track just flat out hooks.

Yeah, I know Lonnie. He's a buddy of mine. He built the tranny, short block, intercooler, did most of the tuning, recommended what parts to buy, and I bought the turbo and DFI off him:D

Lookin good, Lonnie knows his stuff on those buicks +1 for a good guy. He's been messin with them for the 15 or so years I've know him.
Did you happen to notice your qtr pannel in the first pic?? When those cars make good power and hook they start to dent the qtr. Guess its pretty common when the frame rails are notched.Dave Fiscus had the same thing happen to his. I think Rob from rigid did some more bracing of the rear rails and tied them in to the cage.

Eventually I am going to weld some addition bars in the truck so that doesn't happen anymore:eek:

Check your body mount bushings too, the TR's were notorious for borken down or missing bushings. Most of the vendors used to sell replacement kits.

I have a complete set of poly body bushings in the car. The frame is notched pretty thin so the 10" wheels will fit good.

If you want to check out a buddy of mines or dave's let me know. Lonnie has put a stage 2 motor together for a friend Mike and his car is caged prety well. If you want to see it shoot me a pm. The car has a sheet metal 9" and a ton of good parts. The spring pockets and control arm areas on the frame take the hit but there is no support on the back half when the frame flexes. The spings drive upward and the uppers pull back and down and cause the frame to flex (in the trunk area)upward. Then the body has no choice but to go were the frame does.
