I thought with the nice cool weather they are calling for I would turn it up a notch and get a few runs before it stays hot. Anyone going?

My very next mod is some wheels and tires for the back. I was getting really frustrated cuz I was just melting the tires through 1st and 2nd, and spinning in the beginning of third....

I think we need to do something to the motor also :flipoff:

But yea that is not a terrible run for having her at the track for the first time... just get some drive time and like ya said some sticky tires and then see what happens!

The motor actually feels really strong, and pulls very hard once I get some traction. Thats probably when I made my most time up. The gear is PERFECT. I am running through the traps at the very top of 4th gear. I think my stock tach is way off though....

I'm already looking for sticky tires and some welds or something. I really wanna get the car hooking and then worry about messing with the motor.

It wasn't just you I could not get my car to hook and it normally goes 1.4's, the track was horrible it was even getting loose on the big end:eek: It was nice meeting you too.

I'm not a fan of E2O at all... I have never had good traction there.... Its good the motor feels strong though.... you should get a low 14 second run with good traction.... maybe even tap into the high 13s with some good sticky tires.

we've hit 13.50's at 99 mph in shawns vert (95redstang) ... james is trapping good enough for mid 13's .........

Yeah, I saw James there! Nice ride. Funny that you were out for the first time with your car, cause I was too. Sorry to hear about your traction problems, but since they started to run the Street tires off to the sides it's always pretty crappy.

I'm super pleased with the 93 Z! My best was a 13.620 @ 102.99! A later run gave me a 103 mph pass, but the weather was great for getting a little more umph outta the car. Too bad the track wasn't there as well. If my 60 would have stayed the same as my best run, my last pass would have got me into the 13.50s. I'm afraid of sticky's with GM's crappy 10 bolt rear though, so I'll suffer through it.:(
