Started the car for the first time in a week and upon initial fire, it dies. Finally get it to run and it has a hunting idle and a pig rich smell. Runs fine going down the road once I get it going, though.

Any ideas? TPS? O2 Sensor(s)?.

Car ran fine last week.

Make sure you have a good vacum signal to the MAP sensor if your 88 still is speed density. A vacum leak can cauase it also.

On the other hand, if ots converted to mass air, the meter sensor might be filthy. Clean it with alcohol and a Q-Tip, gently./

Nope, still SD. All vacuum hoses are OK.

Check the vacum line to the fuel pressure regulator. Make sure there is no fuel going into the Vacum side. I have seen the regulators rupture and leak into the vacum side. I have seen fires start from those also. So be carfull if you try to take the vacum line off the regulator with the eng running or hot.

pulled the vac line off of the regulator and didn't feel any fuel. Didn't have the car running, though.

I guess I'm gonna have to pull some codes. Maybe I'll run it to the zone as I don't have an AVOM, just a digital one.
