I've had some cash burning a hole in my pocket for a couple of months, and have yet to find quite what I am looking for...
- LX 5.0, the newer the better
- must be a 5-speed
- notch preferred, hatch ok
- not interested in GTs or convertables
- no rust, driver quality paint at least
- trying to avoid bright red and black cars
- no flames, stripes, or other custom paint
- I really want power windows
- a clean car is more important to me than a fast car
I have up to about $6k to spend, but the less I spend on a car the more money I will have for suspension upgrades (looking at the Steeda 5-link II and front coilovers if anyone cares).
So far I have been checking about 20-25 sites (ebay, autotrader, buckeyestangs, corral, mustangforums, louisvillestreets, columbusracing, indycarz, etc.. etc.) on a daily basis for cars for sale and have not had much luck. Everything is either ragged out, really far away, nicer/faster than I can afford, has some flashy custom paint, or otherwise doesn't appeal to me.
I'm sort of a picky guy, but my Dad always taught me to start with the cleanest car you can get, and I plan on having this car for a while.
Thanks a bunch guys, and hopefully I will be a Mustang owner soon.
