17/4 -11/4= 6/4 =1 and 1/2 I think....going back way too far on this. But I think it's correct.:confused: I am assuming you want the positive integer and not the negative one.

4 1/4 - 2 3/4 ~ 17/4 - 11/4 = 6/4 ((3/2)) (1.5) or (1 1/2)
or
4.25 - 2.75 = 1.50 (1.5)

I was trying to be funny, I changed the 2 3/4 to 2 1/2 but put it in decimal form, just to make it a little more confusing. I guess it worked!:lol:
