I'm going to watch. Look for me in either the Volvo or the Stang. I'll probably be hanging out with Turbo Dodge Guys.

Pretty quick 4cylinder cars today. Especially the Escort that won the bracket racing(ET 18.7),lol.
Best ET 10.99 Dodge Neon(best mph today 135mph)
Best Trap Speed late 80s Civic hatch 11.2@138. It's crazy what they can pull out of a old 1.6 liter non vtec motor. I don't think it N02 either and it was running just a 50 trim garrett turbo with a .63 exhaust side.

Robin went 11.0 @ 140 in the red Civic HB.
Laugh at a simple SOHC Honda now.
PS: Robin is 2-3 years older than me, a TRUE hot rodder.
It was a SOHC VTEC motor. Stock block with rods and pistons + a block guard, and good (safe) tuning on top of it. When he installed his OBX LSD he took hints from my builds, yet I never got to touch his tranny. Wish he was on my "resume".......
-1 for me giving out my "secrets"
+1 for me knowing others understand my thoughts on transmission builds.

I walked over to the 1/4 mile ticket area where the Cobra sat. I ended up talking to the owners sister or something since the owner didn't speak english. The car must of broke an axle and maybe cracked the diff.(Smytty came to the same conclusion)
The funny thing is this guy held down while the car was wheel hopping, which is a huge no no. The car broke mid track. I really don't think the guy knew what the car had done to it. I asked and all I got was a shrug. Then I asked if it was stock and I got a no as a reply. So sad:( !
Anyway Smytty talked to him and said the same exact things to him when I wasn't around which was pretty scary and hopefully the guy or the guy's sister/gf mother/ I have no idea who listen to at least one of us on what to do to fix it or he'll be paying a arm and a leg to get that car fixed.

Yeah they can pully crazy mph out of those 4 cylinder cars. I know a guy with an 1983 dodge charger who went 10.01@139 in his which is rediculous and it's streetable with interior. What is nice about these older cars is there really isn't much weight in them.
Last year a mid 90's plymouth colt pulled a 144mph trap with a 4g63 motor at the last import day!
1.6 sohc hondas pulling 140mph in the quarter :HYF:
Heck there are 4cylinder turbo dodge mini vans gunning for 11's this year, lol!

It was such a nice looking car too. That was my thoughts also when I seen it going down the track. I told my buddies either broke the axle or Differential.

I wish the Honda guys would understand where the turbo 4's got started, Thanks MOPAR!
That Colt got totalled, guy was trying for 200 mph on the highway, ID10T error.
85-86 SVO, should have bought one instead of my 86.5 EXP.

Did he wreck the colt or did the engine blow up into a million pieces?
Owning a Turbo Dodges we get a lot of - Mitsubishi made those motors. That has a Mitsubishi Motor in it, no way could a chrysler 4 cylinder motor hold any power. What so special about an RT and so on.
Thinking about it, how often do you see an EXP anymore?
