I've always wondered what would happen if I have a 1/4 tank of 93 octane and put some Cam 2 in it to run at the track. I'm only talking about a gallon with 2 tops. Does anyone have any idea on the outcome.

If your motor doesn't need the higher octane, it wouldn't be beneficial at all. In fact it would probably slow your car down. High octane fuel is harder to burn than standard pump gas, thats the reason it helps to keeps detonation down. Google search Detonation or Pre-ignition for some pretty good explanations.

Its race gas.

"Cam 2" is the generic name used for Sunoco Race Fuels. You can expect the same consistent high quality performance from Cam 2 Racing Gasoline that you get from Sunoco Race Fuels because the names are interchangeable. It is the same product, made in the same facility by the same people. We use this name wherever the "Sunoco" brand name cannot be used, such as gasoline outlets which carry a competing brand of street gasoline. Cam 2 is available in 110, 112, and 116 octane leaded, and 100 and 104 unleaded. Please refer to the specs and MSDS for the Sunoco fuels listed above.

As Rick said, it won't help (in fact it would probably hurt) your performance unless you're tuned for it.
