posting a video to share

If I wanted to post a funny a** video of my daughter "being at one with the earth", what would be the best route of posting a larger video file for sharing. YouTube?

okay... 'nuther stoopid question...

How do I, or what software do I need, to edit the video? It's way long so I want to shorten it up... I've got nero but not sure what that can do... I also have a new HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop with all kinds of crazy software that came loaded... windows digital media, sonic digital media suite, muvee autoproducer 5.0 SE... so much technology no time to read up on it...

I can figure out tech things pretty well if someone can point me in the right direction... I know I have the tech but just don't have time to sit down and self-teach right now...
