Ok... it's been a long time since I read some articles on this back when I had a subscription to 5.0 Mustangs and Fast Fords (or something like that).
I have a '96 Cobra that I'm trying to tune up and make faster, and I'm sure with 92k miles on it... it probably needs this done.
First, how terrible is doing this? I heard it's a pain to get them clean. A necessity but a pain?
Second, tell me more about the deletes.. something about cutting and epoxying...? Can you just buy them somewhere so I don't go crazy with my dremel and screw things up? What are the gains here? Why would you want to do this.
Basically I'm running a stock motor for the street, with a few bolt ons, MAF/TB/K&N/and exhaust. I am planning on running my NX kit w/100hp shot every "once and a while (we'll see how addicting this is).
Thanks for your input!
