I think I broke my CV shaft this past winter... It has finally started making noises. That last big snow I was out doing donuts, full lock + ~6500rpm == clicky-clack goes the wheel. :HYF:
$266 for a "dealer only" driver's side CV shaft. :(
Just a note to all... take care of your beaters while your fun cars are down for the count.

What kind of car....I can get just about any cv chaft...I can check for ya...at least...:D

Heh, I had an '87 Prelude I drove around for ~2 years, but it cost 3x more to repair than it was worth... (shocks, struts, two new brake calipers ($400/ea):eek:... ) Ended up trading it in, with the Ford discount and the cash I was going to put into the Prelude for repairs... it put a decent dent on a brand new '04 Mazda3's payments. I try to take care of her, but my foot gets the best of me sometimes. :lol:
