I'll be there in about two or three weeks! We got an MSD 8382, is that what you're using?

I have a MSD 2382, it has a crank sensor in it and a cam sensor to fire the fuel injection.....

I used an MSD 8579 Distributor for the cam sensor, i am not sure about the dual pickup.

Well talked to the tech at FAST, the said the 2382 is one of the dist. they recommend, the problem is MSD doesn't make it anymore. FAST is comming out with one, but that is a few months out. The problem was when I lined up the reluctor with the crank sensor at 50 btdc, I was suposed to be able to rotate the to where the motor would make peak torque, est. 25 degrees for my blower application and the rotor cap should be firing the #1 cyl.. Well I couldn't make that happen as the rotor button is not phasable, so I have to send it back to FAST and the will make it phaseable and set it where it needs to be. Also I found out you have to put the cam sensor inbetween certain degrees so the fuel injectors will fire at the right time. Hope this helps you in your quest.
