Is $240 a good price on MSD spark plug wires and 2 MSD coils for the Cobra motor? I'm needing to do a tune up and was curious if its worth it. Plus would the coils benefit in any amount of gains? thanks

I put them on my 97, only because it needed wires anyway. I can't remember how much they were, I got them from Craig so I am sure it was a good price. Performance? I never could tell a difference....:)

I just recently bought MSD coil packs and JBA wires and put them on. It definitely was worth the 200+ I spent on them, just for the tune up sake. You wont see any huge gains but there was a big difference in how smooth my cobra runs and revs through the powerband. Run some seafoam to clean your IMRC's while your at it...you seem a difference.

I'd go for it. :bigthumb

I've heard some bad things about MSD wires and coils but have never heard anything bad about the 9mm Ford wires or stock coil packs.

The stock coil packs are great and should only be changed if one or both are bad.

If you need wires I would go to NAPA. Thats were I found the best deal.
